A good example of a rare Scottish lowland dresser, made of softwood, with birch and tulip poplar (American whitewood); mahogany veneers and sycamore crossbanding and polished. Five spice drawers to the top, three drawers to the lower including two cupboards giving lots of storage space.
Also featured in a book on Scottish Vernacular Furniture.
Would suit a themed kitchen or for that contrast between modern and old.
In lovely condition, a great addition to any home or gift for someone special.
Circa 1860’s
