A high quality mahogany 8 day long case clock by the noted clock maker, James Smith of Edinburgh. The nautical scene is believed to be of 'Leith' where J.Smith had premises.  This clock has an orginal piece of paper to the internal side of the trunk door which explains how to regulate the clock. (Makes interesting reading).  The hood has a boxwood fretted swan neck pediment.
